Outstanding Salon Results

CF40 in Glamorgan and Cuts Inc in Kent are 2 salons that have just completed the Gholdenphish programme. And we're thrilled to say that both salon owners (Claire and Chris) have been blown away by some of the results.

Here are some of the things that happened:-

In Cuts Inc. we were able to raise the average rebooking rate from 35% to over 60% in 8 weeks.  The top 3 stylists increased their rebooking rates from 60% to 75+%.  We worked with Chris on his marketing to non-returning clients and 80 came back - that's worth more than £14,000 a year.

Here's what Claire had to say:-

"The programme was hard work but money-making.  We rode out the credit crunch brilliantly and our campaign to non-returning clients made us £4,000.  We put together a letter that I was happy to send and when the letters went out the phone never stopped ringing"

The state of your client changes through a visit

  • what happened BEFORE the appointment
  • how they feel DURING the appointment
  • how they look at the END of the appointment

It’s all about timing

Choose the right time when the client is most receptive to rebook an appointment. When a client is RELAXED they are most receptive; DURING the appointment.

Avoid asking to rebook as your client walks out the door!

At the reception desk or as a client leaves means the opportune moment is over and the magic is gone.

Encourage your stylists to rebook appointments at the most receptive moment

Kent Salon Cuts Inc creates a Model of Success

Recently local hair salon Cuts Inc displayed a poster in their window; “Models Wanted”. After many applications and careful selection, a model was chosen. Armed with quality TiGi products, the team of Cuts Inc professional stylists set about creating a sensational model makeover. From girlish prettiness to glamorous beauty; a unique and transformational hairstyle emerged.

Owner of Cuts Inc, Chris Coles explains: “Looking at effective ways to promote the salon was our main focus for this campaign. We have started working with business coach Nick Siddle from Gholdenphish, who encourages our team to be pro active in our efforts to grow our business locally. Nick helps us to recognise areas in our business that work for us; the things that do well and how we should keep doing them. Nick’s support and interaction spurred on the idea for advertising for a model.”   

Hampshire based business Gholdenphish works with salon owners across the UK who want to create happy, busy and profitable salons. Gholdenphish provides a personal service with regular contact, ensuring consistency and a high level of support.

Salon CF40 Experience & Cuts Inc. start Module 1

Two salons have joined the Gholdenphish-Salon Advantage program this month and are well on the way to a more profitable year.

Both CF40 in Tonypandy, Glamorgan and Cuts Inc. in Broadstairs, Kent have been leading the way in their respective areas for some years. Claire at CF40 is in demand for fashion shoots in the UK and abroad and has just completed a Spring Collection for Vogue. “I just want to know that we are doing everything possible to develop our business…” she says “…and with minimum extra work for me, personally!”

At the opposite side of the country but at the same high level of client care, Chris at Cuts Inc has brilliant expansion plans for the salon. The goal is to double his floor space and move the ambience streets ahead of the competition. “I need to be sure that we are on top of everything and my team are secure before I commit major expenditure in the current climate” he says. “I have a high performing team. I want to work with Gholdenphish to help push up their profitability as fast as possible”. The focus in Module 1 is on your Business Toolkit. This means getting all the Salon Advantage processes working automatically, reeling in non-returning clients, raising rebooking rates and revitalising the consultation.
